Change of plans

This morning we woke up to another blast of winter. The original plan was to relax, spend some time on the computer and do some sewing. Then the power went out for five hours and plans changed. We got to play outside for a few hours and help Mr. Crafty Ave shovel the lane. We went for a walk down our unploughed streets with Beri in her wrap and Loo in the toboggan, waving at all our neighbours. I was even lucky enough to find a cup lukewarm tea down the road.

The power was still off by nap time so instead of sewing I had my first nap of 2011 which was pretty nice since Beri has only slept through the night once this year. It was kind of nice to make do without for awhile.
