LTTSA - hat

I thought one mitten was a pretty lame contribution to a sew along and I got a chance to sew up this hat last night. It was quick and it's cute! It went together perfectly like all the other patterns in the book so far. I didn't add the ribbon on because my guy won't leave it tied unless I triple knot it and I worry about that being a playground hazard.

Some interesting observations:

1. Loo is starting to be quite compliant when I ask him to cover his eyes while I take his picture, too compliant even. I'm a little concerned about our family photo session coming up in a few weeks. Will he cover his eyes the whole time?

2. Loo thinks you're supposed to wear this hat in the house cause I kept plopping it on his head last night and he thinks he needs to hold his "sabre sword" because the brown is the same material as his Halloween costume.

3. Since I used stretchy material for the hat, it fits adults too. Sorry no pictures of that but so far it's been worn by Loo, Beri and 3 different adults.

4. You can barely tell in this picture that Loo's hair is finally back. Actually it needs a trim. You better believe I'm gonna try it again.

  4. That looks Great! I loves the colors you used. I think I'll have to leave off the ribbon too for the same reason; I'm glad you mentioned it because I probably wouldn't have thought to leave it off. Great Job!

  5. I made the small for my baby, she's 10 months, but has a big head. It tried it on and it could probably pull it off, if I was interested in wearing bear eared hats. I love the cozy look of your hat.

And your comment about one mitten made me laugh.
