I whipped up a couple felt poppies for Loo and Beri for Remembrance Day. I was trying to figure out a safe way to attach one to their coats and ended up making them out of felt and securing them with one stitch through each of their coats. I can't see how that would do anymore damage than the traditional pinned poppy. Mr. Crafty Ave and my poppies have already pricked both kids and mine disappeared from my coat yesterday.
pardon my American ignorance, but what is the significance of the poppy on Remembrance Day?
