Happy Ground Hog Day. I have no idea what the results were but I've got my fingers crossed for early spring. Here is my very last post relating to last years Christmas gifts.
I made Beri and Loo each their own doll to unwrap Christmas morning. I was optimistic about giving Loo one but alas he hated it and tried to give it to the dog. Luckily Beri loved them both and they've been living in her crib since. I used this free Martha pattern and I was pretty happy with it. If I ever do another boy doll I'll try not to have such a ridiculous hairline. Live and learn.
My original plan involved sewing some doll clothes as well. I'm sure I'll get there one of these nights. I can barely remember my pre-Christmas sewing blitz but I'm guessing these were just barely finished in time. I do vaguely remember some trouble in December finding white stuffing after trying green which gave the doll arms an alien like green glow.
I also serged three blankets. Quickest project ever. One for Beri and one for each of the dolls. Beri attacked it all Christmas morning in a giant snuggle pile.
So cute! And I love that each of the dolls got their own blanket :)
ReplyDeletethese are super cute! thanks for stopping by my blog :) i'll be following along here.
ReplyDeleteThese dolls are adorable. And it's funny Loo didn't like his - I'm pretty sure my boy would try to feed a doll to the dog too (the dog would be happy about this). I try not to restrict his play by gender, but I don't have to, because he does it himself. Sigh. He has one plastic baby doll, and I'm pretty sure it's buried in the back yard somewhere ready to be excavated by construction equipment. What can you do?
ReplyDeleteoh, love them! thanks for sharing the pattern lady :)
