Here's my second spring top for Rae's Spring Top Sew along. I got caught in the moment the other night and decided to buy this pattern New Look 6940. I chose the instant download option. Oh my - quite different than printing a child's sewing pattern on your home computer. It was over 50 pages! An hour of printing, taping and an empty ink cartridge later, I had my pattern.
I'm happy with the way the shirt turned out though. I used some cheap purple mystery on sale knit from Fabricland.
This is actually my second attempt at the pattern. The first taught me a lot and I made a couple changes in this version. First I completely faced (is that the correct term?) the front and I also added a cuff to the sleeves.
I'm in the middle of stitch ripping my first attempt so it just might make an appearance in the sew along in the next few days.
It's a really nice shape Crystal. Looks like one of those perfect tops that you can dress up or down and is comfy all the way.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! And it fits you just perfectly. Well done.
